SUMMER PROGRAMS

Music Lessons                        

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays

July & Aug | $6/half hour or $10/hour Beginning July 5 pick up your fiddle or get those toes tapping. We offer private youth and adult lessons in beginner, intermediate, and advanced fiddle, and beginner and intermediate piano, guitar and step-dancing. We are pleased to welcome instructors Maggie MacNeil, Shawnee Paul, and Andy MacMullin back to the Féis this year. Maggie is an accomplished pianist and step-dancer. Andy won our hearts last year with his dynamic step-dancing, and Shawnee has completed her second year of a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Acadia University. She will teach piano, fiddle, and guitar. Beginner Gaelic Language Classes

Wednesdays July 5 – Aug 2 | 7 – 8:30pm

$25 for all 5 weeks

Instructor Beth MacNeil will teach Gaelic through the TIP/Gàidhlig Aig Baile methodology which focusses on oral repetition and the use of body language. Students will learn conversational Gaelic in a fun and stress-free environment without the need to learn to read or write the language.

 

Tì is Seanachas – Tea & Conversation

Fridays July 7 – 28 | 10am – 12pm | Adm. Free

Native Gaelic speakers and learners alike are invited to join Fear an Taighe Mickey MacNeil to enjoy a cup of tea and a snack as they visit, converse, and share songs and stories in Gaelic!
